Having been designed by Arthur Benison Hubback who was an architect who was strongly influenced by Asian structures the railway station itself does not give the appearance of a station.
From the outset the building is more like a mosque than a station and many might be fooled by this outside faade. However as soon as one steps inside there is no misconception as the building couldnt be anything other than a railway station.
